Greg Clarkson
Greg Clarkson formed the business in 2007 as Xltec Recruitment. His abilities and work ethic were quickly recognised in 2009 when he won the PSYBT Young Entrepreneur of the year. He has 20 years recruitment experience in various sectors as well as other business ventures. His recruitment knowledge and people skills have been pivotal to the successful expansion of the business. Greg has a reputation which echo’s the core values of Clarkson Owens Recruitment Limited. His enthusiasm, vision and ambition will no doubt continue to drive Clarkson Owens forward.
Away from work Greg does not have much spare time as he is married with 4 daughters. Most of his time is spent chauffeuring his daughters to gymnastics, football and any social events they may have! When he manages to escape, he enjoys socialising with family and friends. His hobbies include golf and football - watching now as his playing days are over!

Stephen Owens - Director
Stephen Owens
Stephen joined Clarkson Owens in 2018 as a Co-Owner and Director and has been tasked with increasing the organisations offering within the Construction market. Stephen has over 20 years Construction Industry Recruitment and Management experience having worked for one of the world's largest specialist recruitment businesses in a variety of different roles in Scotland, he brings to the table a wealth of experience, industry knowledge and contacts as well a very clear vision for how recruitment should be done.
Stephen is known as a true expert in his field and has built a reputation as a hard working, honest and trustworthy recruitment professional having placed thousands of individuals in a variety of Construction roles throughout his career.
Away from work, family life is really important to Stephen...museums, soft play, dancing and gymnastics dominate the scene and when he has some down time he gets the running gear on and escapes.

Jill Davidson - Director
Jill Davidson
Jill Davidson joined Clarkson Owens Recruitment Ltd in 2018 to head up the commercial arm of the business. After graduating from university, Jill began her career with a large national recruitment business where she worked for several years and built up her knowledge and experience within the field. She has 10 years recruitment experience specialising in recruiting for quantity surveyors and estimators within the Scottish construction market.
Jill prides herself in providing a transparent, honest recruitment service to both her candidates and clients. It is for this reason she has built up long lasting relationships with large number of construction professionals.
Outside the office Jill likes to keep busy. She enjoys going out for food and visiting new places. She also tries to fit in going to the gym when she has the chance to go! She also has the responsibility to look after Maisie of an evening!

David Barrie - Civils Recruitment Partner (Temporary appointments)
David Barrie
David joined Clarkson Owens in May 2021, taking on board all aspects of civil engineering. Since joining, David has built up an understanding of civil engineering and is now heading up the Civils desk for Clarkson Owens. After graduating university in 2019, he headed up the sales team for a leading window manufacturer in Scotland, and built a catalogue of customers for the branch in Glasgow from the ground up. People skills and communication is his key strength, having demonstrated this since joining the business and in his previous role.
Away from work, he loves to play and watch football at any given opportunity. He also enjoys going to the cinema and taking his dog out to explore the country.

Chris Kelly - Construction Management Partner
Chris Kelly
Chris joined Clarkson Owens early 2022 to assist Stevie with the Construction Management desk. Previously he worked with a well known vehicle retailer where he was a sales executive for 10 years. Outside of work would consist of spending time with his family.( daughter - Amelia, fiancee - Siobhan & his dog Nala)
Hobbies would include playing football, both during the week and on Saturday mornings. When possible he likes to play golf (soon to be replaced by days at the park when the wee one is walking!)

Jessie Marsh - Senior Recruitment Partner
Jessie Marsh
Jessie joined Clarkson Owens in May 2023. As an experienced recruiter for various sectors such as oil and gas/marine/engineering and telecoms she has joined Clarkson Owens to take on a varied resource role. After finishing a career as navigation officer within the merchant navy, Jessie joined the world of recruitment and perfected her experience on recruitment with the knowledge she gained.
Outside work she loves to spend time with her cute baby daughter Victoria and partner Martin. She is a cook at heart and loves trying different foods and spending time walking and traveling.

Max Durrant - Trades & Labour Partner
Max Durrant
Max joined Clarkson Owens in October 23 to work on the Trades and Labour desk. He has 2 year’s experience working with Tradesmen and Labourers, where he has built up a number of reliable contacts.
Away from work he is a 1/1 football coach and plays with Pollock. He likes to spend his “spare” time with his 2 daughters and his partner.

Robynn Gray - Commercial Recruitment Partner

Robynn joined Clarkson Owens in January 2024 to assist Jill with the surveying arm of the business specialising in Private Practice quantity and building surveyors as well as project managers. After completing her navigational cadetship in 2015 she progressed with vessel owner and ship management companies before joining the recruitment world in 2022 within the renewable sector.
Outside the office, Robynn is a keen swimmer often found in the pool early doors before work. Robynn and her partner Jamie enjoy a break from renovating their Edwardian home with coffee and a long walk or trying the latest brunch spot.

Maisie is the boss of the office. She is very good on the phone; she excels at business development and building relationships. Outside of work she likes to go for long walks and have special treats.
