Job Description:
We've been engaged by a progressive sub-contractor based in central Scotland who foresee the requirement for an additional Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
This particular division - Industrial Flooring - of this well-respected multi-discipline contractor surpassed £1m in turnover this year, with very healthy profit margins, and 2020 is looking likely to become a highly profitable year for the business.


Role & Responsibilities:
As Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the production, quality control and overseeing the day-to-day operations of project installations. Typical Project values are circa £100,000 and there are generally between 10-15 live jobs simultaneously.

- Supervising employees and site managers on the projects within their care.
- Ensuring that projects are correctly programmed.
- Ensuring projects run well and are within budget during their course and complete on time with a satisfied client upon handover.
- Promote the Company values in order to create new opportunities with new business.
- Provide excellent service to exceed the expectations of Clients.
- Negotiating approved sub-contract orders, sourcing specialist suppliers and materials, planning critical dates, monitoring sub-contractors, organising labour, managing health and safety, liaising with Health and Safety Executive if required, liaising with Architects and Designers, Planners, Building Control Officers and Clients/Clients representative.


Essential Criteria:
- Extensive experience working within the industrial flooring sector
- Experience of contract management. Demonstrable ability to present and commercially manage project plans.
- Understanding of building regulations and planning
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirements
- Excellent communication and liaison skills.
