We have been engaged by a well-known main contractor to recruit a Document Controller to join their team based in Glasgow. The purpose of the role would be to support the construction team in management of documents as well as admin support. Initially the position would be on a 3 month temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent should it suit both parties therafter.
Key Responsibilities: - Work as a collaborative member of the team – facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice to the wider team. - Maintain responsibility for own performance, continually developing skills and knowledge. - Assist as required with general administration. - Downloading and Publishing documents / drawings in accordance with project procedure as agreed with the Contracts Manager. - Provision of weekly reports to the Contracts Manager on the status of all documentation. - Track all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including logging in registers and issuing document transmittals.
Experience Required: - Must be able to demonstrate experience working as a Document Controller - Proven ability to allocate and control document numbering systems for project work - Ability to demonstrate excellent data-entry and document management skills - Competent in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
